Goldhofer’s Competence Also Impresses Morocco’s Minister of Transportation
Once again, it was the Goldhofer Aktiengesellschaft that provided a tradeshow highlight: with the STZ-VH 6 (2+4) heavy-duty combination with a low-profile drop deck and a payload of up to 170 tons, the market leader from Memmingen, Germany once again demonstrated its competence as the world’s leading manufacturer of special transport vehicles at the LogisMED tradeshow in the Moroccan city of Casablanca.
LogisMED is the largest and most important transport and logistics tradeshow in the North African Mediterranean area and is organized with the support of the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Morocco (a division of the German Chamber of Commerce Abroad, or AHK). At its debut there, Goldhofer, with its stand of nearly 200 square meters, was one of the central approach points for many of the visitors, who in total numbered nearly eight thousand. Among these was also Aziz Rabbah, Morocco’s Minister of Equipment, Transportation, and Logistics. “For us, this was of course a great honor and pleasure,” said Goldhofer Area Sales Manager Said Chehma, “that right at our first appearance in Casablanca, we were such a main focus of interest.” Several well-known logistics companies from Germany also presented themselves at this port city, including Dachser, DHL, DB Schenker, Meyer & Meyer, and Ipsen Logistik.
For this reason, there is no question for Chehma that LogisMED was a great success for Goldhofer, particularly since in its nationwide business news, the Moroccan television broadcaster 2M reported in great detail about Goldhofer and the visit by the minister. “We wanted to increase our level of recognition in Morocco,” Chehma added, “and we really succeeded in doing that with our tradeshow presence, as the extremely positive response showed. Because only in that way can we efficiently work on the Moroccan market and convince additional customers of our competence.”
The STZ-VH 6 (2+4) heavy-duty combination with its low-profile drop deck and a payload of up to 170 tons was presented at LogisMED. It is best suited in this configuration above all else for the transportation of transformers. For the tradeshow, the STZ-VH 6 was made available by Goldhofer customer Acharif Bouzekri, whose transport company Tracimex is headquartered in Casablanca. Chehma summarized LogisMED in this way: “Many visitors were really impressed by how oversized and extremely heavy loads can be transported very economically thanks to our heavy-duty solutions.”
