Intermat 2015: French debut for MPA

The revolutionary »MPA Axle Technology« developed by Goldhofer Aktiengesellschaft will be one of the highlights at Intermat 2015 in Paris. This year’s premiere construction machinery show, which will take place in the Parc d’Activités on 20–25 April, will be the French debut of Goldhofer’s low loader semitrailers equipped with »MPA Axle Technology«.

“Together with Bauma in Munich and Conexpo in Las Vegas, Intermat in Paris is one of the world’s big three trade shows for the construction equipment industry. And with Intermat, our innovative »MPA Technology« comes full circle. I am confident that the response to our exciting » MPA axle technology« will be just as convincing in Paris as it was at the presentations we made in Munich and the USA,” says Stefan Fuchs, CEO of Goldhofer Aktiengesellschaft.

Goldhofer’s »MPA Axle Technology«, for which patents are pending, is the lightest independent suspension system on the trailer market. It has been designed in line with the “less is more” principle for optimum performance in terms of axle tracking, steering, suspension, damping and suspension stroke. The MPA has been developed on the basis of the MacPherson axle by Goldhofer and its system partners BPW, Neumeister and Heyd. The result is a heavy-duty vehicle that combines previously unheard of technical specifications with the simplicity of an ingenious invention and maintenance-free system. For this concept Goldhofer received the prestigious 2015 Trailer Innovation Award in the Chassis category at the IAA in Hanover. With a 60° steering angle and 350 mm suspension stroke with minimum track difference, the Goldhofer construction plant transporter offers outstanding maneuverability, not only on the road but also on the construction site. Another winning feature: a minimum loading height of just 780 mm in the lowest position.

In response to the exceptional level of demand for its new maintenance-free axle system, Goldhofer has extended the MPA range to include the MPA-V and MPA-K. The MPA-V is  a drop-deck version with removable gooseneck. With its MPA-K system, Goldhofer now offers customers a modular solution within the MPA family, with a choice of goosenecks and front and rear bogies. That makes it possible to configure both platform and drop-deck combinations with up to 10 axles.

In addition to the new »MPA Axle Technology«, the Goldhofer stand at Intermat in Paris will also feature a THP/SL modular vehicle. This heavy-duty module is a representative of an earlier market launch in the form of the proven THP/SL family, with the THP/SL as the basic module and the THP/SL-L and THP/SL-S as lightweight variants. The modules, which can be combined with one another, have a unique frame design with high bending moments for maximum load carrying capacity. The result is a choice of axleloads within the THP/SL family of 16t (THP/SL-S), 26t (THP/SL-L) and 45t (THP/SL).
