STN-L4 at Plantworx 2015
Goldhofer presents its specialist for transporting all kinds of construction machinery at the UK trade show.
When the construction plant industry gathers for the 2015 Plantworx trade show at Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome, Leicestershire on 2 - 4 June, Goldhofer – the German quality vehicle manufacturer from Memmingen – will be one of the exhibitors. From its wide ranging product portfolio, the leading vendor of equipment for heavy and ultra-heavy haulage, will be presenting the STN-L4 low loader semitrailer (outdoor stand 13A2).
“Optimum handling is essential for the safe and economical transportation of construction equipment. Our transportation program, which has been developed in cooperation with users, provides just that,” says Stefan Fuchs, CEO of Goldhofer Aktiengesellschaft.
With its friction-steered low loader semitrailers in the STN series, Goldhofer offers haulage and construction companies a cost-effective alternative to force-steered vehicles. The series includes the STN-L4 with four axles, which offers an axle load of 4x 12,000 kg and a fifth-wheel load of 26,000 kg. With a payload of just under 60 t, the STN-L4 is the ideal solution for transporting construction plant. The advantages of the STN-L4 also include an optimum deadweight to payload ratio, long service life and low maintenance costs.
Plantworx is a biennial trade show, which made its debut in 2013 as the modified and improved successor to the SED, which was last held in 2009. In collaboration with a number of leading brand manufacturers in the construction plant industry, the Construction Equipment Association (CEA) developed a new concept for the event, taking even better account of the needs of exhibitors and visitors than the SED. With an attendance in excess of 11,000 visitors, the 2013 premiere of Plantworx 2013 was an immediate success. In view of the increase in the numbers of visitors and exhibitors expected at this year’s Plantworx, the organizers decided to move the venue to Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome, which offers 40% more space.
