Goldhofer recently held an open day at its new facility in Miramar (Florida, USA)November 2019

For its US customers, Goldhofer can now be reached even faster and more easily. At the beginning of November, the expert for heavy haul and specialized transportation solutions as well as for ground support equipment and airport technology held an open house event for trade customers at its new US facility in Miramar (FL, USA). “For us, it is a logical next step to respond to the dramatic increase in demand for our transport and airport solutions on the American continent with a comprehensive service offering on the ground covering spare parts, maintenance, repairs and overhauls,” says Lothar Holder, CEO of Goldhofer AG. Numerous invitees came to the new facility to get a first-hand impression of the latest developments and services from Goldhofer and to compare notes with other customers.

On November 5, 2019 Stefan Kohler, Vice President Sales, Goldhofer Inc., John Biagi, CEO of FliteLine, and Lothar Holder (CEO of Goldhofer AG) welcomed more than a hundred visitors from the heavy haul and specialized transportation industry from all over America to the official opening of the Goldhofer facility in Miramar (7401 Riviera Boulevard, Miramar, FL 33023).

Following short company presentations by Goldhofer and FliteLine and product presentations featuring the latest vehicles for the US market, visitors had an opportunity to inspect the premises. Keen interest was shown in the demonstrations of the STZ-VL3 and STZ-P9 lowloader semitrailers and the PST/SL-E heavy-duty modules and the »ADDrive«. Visitors were particularly pleased with the news that, in addition to sales and service, Goldhofer now has a vehicle overhaul facility in the US as well as a spare parts store that will slash delivery times for Goldhofer parts. Stimulating talks with the service and sales staff of Goldhofer and FliteLine and discussions with other industry representatives were a dominant feature of the event, which closed with dinner on a canal cruise.

“We are delighted that our direct presence in the USA will enable us to make even faster direct contact with our customers and interested parties. From spare parts shipments to on-site servicing and overhauls - our customers can benefit from the expertise of our team and from the faster response made possible by handling all processes here on site. This saves our customers time and money,” says Stefan Kohler. This close-to-the-market solution also benefits customers of the Airport Technology division: “Goldhofer’s local presence signifies a clear increase in service quality and speed for companies involved in ground handling. Our presence so close to customers also offers attractive development prospects, especially in view of the booming e-mobility market for airport applications,” said John Biagi in his opening speech.
