CONTINUTIY PLUS NEW STRATEGIES FOR PARTNERS AND CUSTOMERS

Stavros Hatziioannou: “We will of course continue to work closely with our service people.”

Goldhofer AG has combined its Transport and Airport Technology service departments in order to leverage synergies more effectively and further increase efficiency. While the two divisions remain functionally separate in terms of production and sales, administrative processes will in future be managed centrally.

For customers and partners, bundled central processes mean they have the same reliable people to talk to and familiar procedures to follow plus new momentum for even more effective support. One key change concerns Goldhofer’s customer service: It is now no longer part of the sales department but reports directly to CEO Matthias Ruppel. This centralized unit is managed by Armin Habel as Head of Service with responsibility for strategic development at a cross-functional level. “This move strengthens our service offering as an independent pillar of our company,” says CEO Matthias Ruppel: “Our customers will benefit from even closer ties to senior management and a clear focus on service quality and fast response times.”

Armin Habel – an experienced insider in charge of the service department

Armin Habel brings with him over two decades of experience in the commercial vehicle and transport industries. After 21 years at Volvo Trucks in such roles as Aftermarket Manager for Southern Germany and Operations Manager, he held senior positions in Customer Service at Schwarzmüller and Krone. Since joining Goldhofer at the beginning of 2024, he has been a valuable source of knowledge and expertise in his role as Head of Service. “I am thrilled to have such trust placed in me and to take on this new responsibility,” says Armin Habel: “Our goal is to position the service department even more clearly as a strategic factor for success, with a clear focus on customer satisfaction, technical excellence and fast solutions.”

Sales with an even stronger focus on markets and customers

With this reorganizational measure, Stavros Hatziioannou, Vice President of Sales Airport Technology, and Robert Steinhauser, Vice President of Sales Transport Technology, are handing over their previous responsibilities in the area of customer service in order to focus even more intensively on market and customer development. The overarching goal remains clear: maintaining Goldhofer’s premium standards across all areas and offering customers significant added value.

“We will of course continue to work closely with our service people,” says Stavros Hatziioannou, “but the new structure will give us more scope for the further strategic development of customer relations and tapping into new market potential.” Robert Steinhauser is also convinced of the benefits of the change: “We are placing the service department in very capable hands. Armin Habel has precisely the expertise and customer focus needed to future-proof this business area.”

Proven reliability plus fresh momentum

Nothing changes for customers and partners in their everyday dealings with Goldhofer AG: Their existing contacts for technical issues, warranties and replacement parts remain the same. At the same time, the company is setting a new course for even closer integration of service and sales – with the aim of not just meeting customer expectations but exceeding them.
