Dear Readers,

Welcome to Munich and bauma 2022, this time in October. We take great pleasure in once again inviting you from all over the world to Germany – for a wonderful reunion! At the leading trade show for the industry, we will be presenting our impressive range of heavy-duty and special transport vehicles, solutions and services relating to all of your transportation requirements. Starting with the lower payload range, you will be able to take a look at our »TRAILSTAR« – a brand-new trailer that sets new standards in its class. In addition to our established, top-performing »STEPSTAR«, we will also be presenting a world first in the shape of the »STEPSTAR« Z. In the entry-level segment, it offers all the advantages of a forced steered semi-trailer to proven Goldhofer standards of engineering. With the launch of the »MPA« in 2013, Goldhofer revolutionised the industry. The success story of this uncompromisingly customer-oriented vehicle continues to this day. That makes it a must for this year’s bauma, too! With its extremely low loading height, the »ARCUS« P looks like a record-breaker in itself. But in combination with the »CargoPlus®« low profile tire, Goldhofer is setting a completely new benchmark. Goldhofer’s »FT-Series « is simplicity revisited. From a wide range of possible variants, we sit down with our customers to configure exactly the right combination for their operations – drawing on our wealth of experience with modular vehicles. And the concept combines user-friendly handling with outstanding flexibility. The »ADDRIVE« 2.0, the big brother of the Goldhofer »ADDRIVE«, is now on the market – with the performance data of a full-fledged self-propelled transporter plus all the advantages of a towed module. With smart control, remote access functions and a telemetry system, the potential range of applications is almost endless. At the same time, the use of »ADDRIVE« offers savings in terms of resources and personnel as fewer tractors and thus fewer drivers are needed.

Wind turbines are growing in importance – and also in size. Goldhofer’s successful FTV is growing, too. With over 60 units in service today, Goldhofer has vast experience in the design and production of turbine blade carriers, and the FTV 850 – the largest model to date – will be on show at bauma. With the blade carrier mounted on a self-propelled PST/SL-E split combination, we prove that meter tons are not everything: it is the overall concept that counts. Driven by the wind and optimized for the construction industry: In combination with an SXU-L front dolly and an SN-L trailing dolly, long loads are transported with the load serving as a self-supporting element. Not only with »BLADES« for extra-long wind turbine blades but also as an intelligent solution for transporting concrete beams, the combination is a winner in terms of maximum efficiency and flexibility.

Customers can be sure of always being up to date with our digital solutions, including our »eShop« online spare parts store, the Goldhofer app with its various explanatory animations and operating videos, and the new HeavyLoad axle load tool from our partner CodeSquare. To top it all, we are currently developing a battery-electric PowerPack. With our electric aircraft tow tractors, we have already proven that we can move heavy loads without compromising on reliability and performance. The zero-emission self-propelled transporter is the next logical step. We are very much looking forward to a personal meeting at bauma.
