This year’s Hillhead – the UK's largest quarrying, construction and recycling exhibition – is again being held as a live event on June 21-23, 2022. And Goldhofer will be making its debut there. Together with its UK sales partner Specialist Trailer Hire (STH) Ltd., Goldhofer will be presenting its wide range of vehicles for handling all kinds of construction machinery. One of the items on display will be a three-axle semitrailer from the successful »STEPSTAR« family. It was specifically designed for the construction and demolition industry in the UK and offers a very impressive payload to deadweight ratio, which makes it the ideal solution for operations under C&U, “With this model, our customers in the United Kingdom benefit from a wide range of useful functions for the cost-effective transportation of construction machinery,” says Dennis Leschensky, Area Sales Manager UK at Goldhofer Transport Technology.
The Specialist Trailer Hire fleet now includes a large number of these self-tracking semitrailers in the three- and four-axle versions. The »STEPSTAR« is available in several variants, as a platform semi-trailer or in a wheel recess version. It also comes with a wide range of accessories, including ramps, decking, the Mega gooseneck and much more besides for flexible vehicle configuration for specific operations. But the self-tracking, low-weight semitrailers in the »STEPSTAR« family are not the only highlights at Hillhead: The heavy haulage experts from Goldhofer and STH will be available to provide information about the wider range of products for transporting heavy and voluminous construction and demolition machinery with a deadweight of more than 50 tons. “The range of solutions available from Goldhofer comprises an extensive product portfolio for all types of work and construction machines. Specialist Trailer Hire (STH) has been offering rental services and sales of Goldhofer’s heavy-duty transport solutions in the UK since 2021. In response to growing demand for economical trailer solutions, STH has added a large number of »STEPSTAR« self-tracking semi-trailers to its rental fleet.
