For transporting extremely heavy and long loads – from crane ballast and jibs to concrete beams as well as components for on- and offshore windpower plants – a versatile flatbed semitrailer from Goldhofer is the ideal solution. With single to fourfold extendable decks and a loading length of up to 62m, a Goldhofer flatbed semitrailer adapts perfectly to every load. Loading heights vary depending on whether the frame is straight or cranked and on the choice of tires and axle system. Maximum maneuverability is guaranteed by our hydraulic forced steering with turntable bolster or pendular axles. Goldhofer flatbed semitrailers are very popular. They are noted for their highly robust frames and the outstanding stability of the extension tubes. The high standard of the workmanship and welding ensures easy adjustment of the extension tubes. Payloads of 100t and more are available, depending on local regulations and the number of axles.

Type SPZ-L/SPZ-GL

For an optimum match between load and deck length, the vehicles in the SPZ-L series have single, double or triple extendability for load lengths of up to 55m. The integrated turntable bolster steering is equipped with a hydraulic dual circuit forced steering system. That ensures full steering capability if one circuit should fail. The SPZ-L flatbed semitrailers come with pneumatic suspension as standard. As an optional, they can also be fitted with hydraulic axle suspension. Unlike the vehicles in the SPZ-L series, the SPZ-GL semitrailers have a cranked gooseneck for a much lower loading height of approx. 1,200mm. That makes them ideal for transporting long rotor blades over long distances.

Type SPZ-P/SPZ-GP

This flatbed semitrailer is specially designed to transport long and very long rotor blades and is also suitable for all other cargos. It incorporates our tried and tested pendular axle technology and hydraulic dual circuit steering. An axle stroke of 600mm makes it easy to pass over obstacles or use non-tarmac roads. With a steering angle of up to 60° at constant track width, excellent maneuverability and stability are guaranteed. The loading platform is triple extendable for a maximum length of 62m.

Type SPZ-P Super Lift

Extremely long rotor blades have large hub diameters and often cannot pass under bridges or travel through tunnels. The length of the load is also a problem for negotiating roundabouts and tight bends. The hydraulically lift- and lowerable gooseneck in combination with pendular axle technology of our "Super Lift" is a brilliant solution. Loading height can be reduced to a minimum at front and rear while ground clearance can be increased to a maximum at front and rear. With excellent tracking performance and a 60° steering angle, many obstacles become child’s play. Transporting wind turbine rotor blades safely to their destination – an operation that is becoming increasingly demanding as rotor blades grow in length and require new transport technologies.

Friction-steered semi lowloaders in the STN series are a popular choice in the transport and construction industries. They are an economical alternative to the force-steered vehicles. The friction-steered semitrailers are available with 2 to 5 axles. Depending on the number of axles, one or two axles are steered and the others unsteered. Type STZ-L/STZ-H

STZ-L/STZ-H semitrailers are designed to handle a wide range of jobs. With a choice of different deck types, these vehicles are the perfect solution for transporting various cargos from construction machinery to all kinds of plants. They have dual-circuit hydraulic steering and steering knuckle axles and either pneumatic or hydraulic suspension. They also come with a choice of ride heights. With the help of advanced axle geometries, we have reduced loading height to 785mm. These vehicles are available with 2 to 8 axles.

Type STZ-P 9 (3+3+3) „TRIDEM“

For years, the semitrailers in Goldhofer’s STZ-P series have proven themselves as reliable partners in the heavy haulage industry. With swing-axle technology, maximum frame strength and extendible decks plus a choice of vehicle widths and various wheelbases, these semi lowloaders set the standard. The STZ-P 9 (3+3+3) AA is also extendible between the bogies to comply with US regulations regarding axle spacing.

As an additional advantage, the rear bogie can be retracted under load for greater flexibility when negotiating tight bends and roundabouts. On completion of the maneuver, the tractor is then used to return the vehicle to the original length.

STZ-VL series semi lowloaders can be uncoupled at the gooseneck for front-end loading. That makes it easy to load and unload self-propelled machines, with various bridge versions available for handling payloads in excess of 100t. In combination with the various chassis widths and shapes and different goosenecks, Goldhofer offers a wide choice of configurations. The vehicles are available with hydraulic suspension on request.

The STZ-VP sets a new standard for drop deck vehicles with the tried and tested swing axle technology of our modular trailer series. The semi-trailers come in a variety of configurations, with two to eight axles and a wide range of cargo decks in combination with front bogies. Extra-wide excavator recesses and extremely short lengths are attractive bogie design features. The STZ-VP is worth to invest in, because in a tight situation, every millimeter counts.
